Also known as: Classroom Response System, Classroom Performance System, Student Response System, & Audience Response System. Student-response systems increase student participation. Designed like TV remotes, they record answers from students, who “vote” on multiple-choice questions during interactive lessons. Responses are anonymous or identified, depending on the situation. Responders are linked to software on the teacher’s computer.
When choosing a system, ensure the devices will handle daily wearand tear. There are several systems on the market, and they are often designed to work with their respective digital whiteboard. Student response systems are a great way to get all students to participate in lessons.
Interactive whiteboard vendors include; Promethean, Smart Technologies, Qwizdom, Einstruction, iClicker and Turning Point,.
